The Headline Project

The idea for my headline project, describes a teenage perfectly! I love the idea I did for this project and the contrast I did to describe what is happening. I think you could tell what is happening very well in this picture. There is a boy giving a girl alcohol and she says yes! Later on that night the girl feels, gross, drunk and about to pass out and she thinks to herself what the situation was like when he asked her. She wished you could have said no. At that time she excepted the alcohol it was day and by night was drunk she wish she had not drunk. I liked how I also learned how to draw people and the sizing of them. It was cool to learn how to draw people.

Candy Painting!

I painted this picture of my candy painting becuase I love the candies I choose on this. It was hard to accomplish this at first but got much easier as you taught me and time progressed. I think the most difficult part was putting the spire-mint rapper candy painted on. I thought I would hate putting the shadows on,but it turned out I actually loving doing them. However, it was my favorite part. I also enjoyed mixing the colors together and trying to make new combination's. It was fun to see what the final product would look like and to paint the background. Even tho it took me a while to finish this project, I think I liked this art piece the best!!!

Alexander DeMaria

The beautiful drawing Mr. Alexander DeMaria drew were amazing. The detail's he showed in the drawing were amazing and looked like they were real like situations. The way he described what is going on in the picture showed a lot about the feeling and emotions. The colors also took a big part of what was going on in the picture.

Drawing from observation skills

The skills I have made has progressed throughout the past 3 and a half weeks. For some of the drawings, like shading for the zoom drawing. In order to determine what the object is for the zoom drawing you need shade in order for the object to stand out and using no lines. You need to make the object stand out by using dark, light, or medium shades to figure out the textures. Another skill I learned when I did the wall still life drawing was proportion. I learned and put them to use by using my pencil and finger to figure out how small and large things are, into the actual still life. For instant if I drew a rectangular table, and a cup was sitting on the table I would need to figure out how small/large the cup is.I would figure it out by seeing how many cups could fit on the table and the exact measurements by using my pencil. The last skill I want to talk about is observation. The hole unit so far we have been creating drawings from observation. Observation drawing is very difficult for me to do because I am better at imaginary drawing. The skill to use observation drawing requires many things in order to make you drawing look realistic. For instant taking away lines, shading, value, texture, proportion and many more. Overall I think I have learned alot of the time span about proportion

Take a look at the drawings you've made so far and think about the skills it took to create them.
On your blog describe several of these skills (at least 3) and how you put them to use in your drawings.

Collaborative drawing

1,2.
I dealt with approached each drawing with a lot of confusion. It was a little bit hard for me to understand how to draw the correct objects in the correct spot. I am not to good at drawing 3D items so this was a hard task for me to fulfill. The process for correcting what I say was first erasing, then looking at the placement set up and trying to fix the picture to look more exact. I did this by trying to do the value correctly and placement of each object
3.
At the end when I returned to my drawing I felt good that people could make the corrections and I still could be satisfied. I saw some pictures and others did not look as good as I thought mine did. The mistakes I did when I first drew it, looked more complete and others finished it.

4. The things I had to do when I finished my drawing was erase a lot of black smudges and add the white pencil to try and take away the black deleted lines. I also had to make the chair and the wood on the chair a few shades darker.

How did it feel to return to your drawing at the end and to see what others had done to it?
What did you have to do to finish your drawing?

Pre-Assessment

Out of the two things we drew in class today observation and imagination, observation felt more natural to me. I felt this way because I like when there are rules you have to follow because it makes the art easier for me. When I have to determine what is going to be in the picture and how to draw the objects a certain way, it becomes more hard.
